I've been involved with environmental sustainability clubs throughout high school and am interested in pursuing my interest academically. McGill's School of Environment looks pretty good... does anyone know much about it? How does it compare to American environmental programmes?

I'm accepted into the College of Arts, so I'll be focusing less on the scientific side of it.

I’m an environment minor and I love the program! I don’t know how it compares to American programs, but it claims to be very interdisciplinary. Even as an Arts student, you will have to take at least two science-y classes as part of the core program. I believe basic calculus and biology are also requirements, even for a BA.
One of the best features of the MSE program is the field studies! You will have the chance to do an entire semester in Panama or in Barbados, or a variety of shorter courses in other areas. There is also a field study semester in Africa, but it isn’t directed solely towards MSE - any student can apply for it.
I guess I may be kind of biased, but I think it’s a pretty decent program!
