Looking for the Perfect Fit

So this may get kinda all over the place but here it goes.

I’m in my last year at FIU (Miami) as an environmental studies major, bio minor. I’m doing some research there involving coastal everglades restoration. Now I’m looking to apply to universities in Canada. I spent a year living there (Quebec) and loved it.

Now I already used the search on this website but I didn’t find what I was looking for.

So my questions is, can anyone suggest schools in Canada that have good environmental studies program, is not for profit, is relatively cheap, is small, and most importantly not an all out research university? I’m looking to get a Master’s degree so I can get to work as I’m not interested in research as a profession.

Near the ocean is a plus I guess. Also cheap housing in the surrounding area is pretty important (gotta take my two dogs with me so no college housing).

I gotta be realistic as I don’t have a great GPA I’m gonna graduate with pretty much a straight 3.0 and about two years research experience.

So thats it! I might have more questions later but thats all I can think of for now! THANKS :-h

Remember I’m not looking for the best schools! I’m just looking for a school where I can get 1 on 1 time with my profs and a masters degree that will help prepare me for professional working world of environmental studies/science/conservation and all that.
