<p>After a long preparation period the Thornton School of Music has announced a new degree. It is the Bachelor of Music in Popular Music Performance. It will be open to vocalists, songwriters and instrumentalists. Some of the courses will be in conjunction with the School of Cinematic Arts and/or the School of Theatre.

<p>I think that this is amazing! Just imagine the new and the more diverse talent that SC will recruit. Can you imagine the interplay (sorry for the pun) between the classic and rock or....12 tone....or....?</p>
