School Spirit and Activities?

So, it occurred to me that an urban small school may not offer/have as much ON campus activity and group things simply because you have the city (and in Barnard’s case Columbia) at your finger tips.

So, can any current students speak to the school spirit and active nature of the campus? Do dorm floors, for instance, do activities together? Are the clubs super active? Is there a great deal of activity sponsored by student life on the weekends and are the activities well attended?

I see many lists of things on the website…but you see that on most school websites.

If you have a desire to be at a very involved college, with lots of time and money put into student activities and lots of students doing those things, is Barnard it? Or is it a more low key campus with some things to do on campus…and lots to do in NYC?

Okay, so there is a lot of school spirit. Take a look at our traditions!
Dorm floors do stuff together - go for dinners, skating, out for a picnic, fondue parties, ice-cream parties, froyo, too.
Let me give you one of the pictures to demonstrate to what we woke up one Monday. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BIJkj7mCAAEE6VA.jpg:large</a> it came with loud music.
