Hey there! Recent admit to Colby and trying to decide between it and a number of very different schools... wondering about the school spirit and sports? Do students attend games? Do they cheer/tailgate/etc.? When, say, a home football game (or hocky, basketball, whatever) rolls around, what's the student reaction? Thanks!

Hi anna999 - there has always been a very supportive environment at Colby around athletic events (and other performances, shows, etc.). In previous years, some of the bigger athletic weekends have been deemed “Code Blue” events, including tailgates, t-shirt making, face painting and the like. This year, an additional school spirit club was formed called The Mule Mob to better organize students interested in supporting their classmates and friends in their athletic endeavors. Check out this insideColby story on the group, and see photos from their kickoff weekend last fall: [insideColby - The Mule Mob](http://www.insidecolby.com/blogs/the-mule-mob/).

Hi Anna!

As a member of the softball team here at Colby I can tell you that school spirit here is really great! As well as the mule mob discussed above which really makes home games fun we also have a new student athlete organization called Student Athletic Committee (SAC) who organizes the Code Blue games and creates events for the whole school to attend sporting events. They also team up different sports teams to attend each others’ home games so there is always a fun crowd. Students are also able to work games if they are interested in announcing, or playing music, or working the lines. There are so many ways for students to get involved. But also you can just look around campus and find that almost every person is wearing some type of Colby gear whether it is a sweatshirt, hat, or bag. We are very proud to go to school here and are constantly expressing school spirit. I hope that helps!
