It’s been a dream of mine for years to go to Georgetown and I was lucky enough to get my acceptance a couple of days ago. Now that I’m actually going to college though I want to make sure I’m making the right choice for me. Does Georgetown have a good sense of school spirit and community? A lot of people have mentioned that it’s a really diverse school but do people still feel like there’s a lot of school spirit especially with the basketball team and everything?
DS went to all the basketball games freshman year and had a blast, so yeah, there are definitely pockets of school spirit. I enjoyed getting to see him on camera a lot. Subsequently, it’s been less rah-rah, but everyone there seems proud to be at Georgetown so, in that sense, there’s a sense of community. There are plenty of groups to join, so a feeling of “belonging” shouldn’t be an issue.
