School supplies 2012-2013 ("-_- groan....)

AP Calc- notebooks for hw, calculator, binder (kept at home for old quizzes/tests)
AP Physics- notebooks for hw, calculator, lab record (composition book), binder (kept at home for old quizzes, handouts, etc)
AP Lang- Binder (basically to store reference papers in), novel
AP Gov- Binder (to shove all the packets in)
Honors Spanish 4- Binder, workbook

Pencil Pouch with all the goodies and the ALL-ESSENTIAL homework folder. I have one heavy duty folder that I put anything I get from all my classes in, so I have anything I need for homework and I don’t forget to bring anything home (or have to lug 3904673 binders home for a couple papers). Then the next day I transfer everything to the respective binders.

Also I need to buy an actual backpack this year. my cute purse/tote I used last year almost killed my shoulder.

My hopeful list of supplies:
All/most classes: Calculator, Pencils (~9 for the whole year), Pilot G-2 pens, Highlighters, Pencil Case, Schedule/Agenda/Planner.
AP Biology- Notebook, lab notebook, Folder
AP World- Notebook, Highlighters, Folder
Algebra II- Graphing Paper in a Binder, Folder
APES- Notebook, Folder
English- Pens, Binder,

I had a accordion folder with a slot for each of my classes, a few pencils/pens, and some looseleaf paper. Then a notebook for each class (just 1 subject, college rule, I write small and never needed a second one). I kept the papers I still needed (like the chapters I haven’t been tested on) in the accordion folder and the older ones went home to a filing cabinet.

I brought the accordion, my assignment notebook, and my water bottle to every class (hydration!) and just used a drawstring bag to carry that and the notebooks/books. I only used my real backpack to bring stuff to/from school.

I might use an accordion but I always jam the skin above the cuticle on my fingers on the edges. Major annoyance for me.

Though if it works for you, thats awesome.

I wear a uniform so no clothes shopping for me -_-. I still like going though because we still have dress down days. TO THE MALL.
-Agenda! I would forget so much stuff without it.
-Pens, Pencils etc. I only use mechanical pencils because they’re less annoying when they break. :stuck_out_tongue:
-Colored pens because I’m a visual learner! I’m looking for those 4 color pens that you can just click the buttons on the side and it changes the ink to a different color to make life easier.
-Hi lighters!
-Sharpies!
-About 2 notebooks because I use my computer for most notes except for where there’s a lot of diagrams and numbers. Basically only for math to be honest and I’m debating on bio. Plus I have some left over from last year.
-Folders! Only a few because I barely get paper anyway. I only use one at a time and clean it out every week.
-Dividers & reinforcements to use with the binders I have from last year. Whenever I get to the end of the week I stick all my papers into binders by class and then divide them into chapters for exam time.
-Whiteboard & markers so I can draw diagrams and make lists so I can remember them.
-Paper-clip post-its so I can divide my notebooks up.

I use this thing called Anki instead of physical index cards. Saves paper!
-Whatever random project supplies that I can find ahead of time.

I take Bio., English Lit., Psych, and US History as far as APs go and than Honors Algebra 3/Trig. and religion classes (catholic school problems). My locker is in the middle of the second floor so it has easy access from everywhere. I just hate carrying a bunch of stuff around just for one class. Plus, it’s pretty uncommon to see someone carrying around a binder and a huge stack of books anyway.

@AllyJay I was debating whether or not I should get an electronic writing pad to backup my notes…should I?

@awesomeirl I have a tablet pc but I never really use the tablet function on it because it makes my handwriting look weird most of the time even though it is readable. Since what you’d be buying is meant for the specific purpose I don’t think it would be a huge problem though. Also, everyone at my school does the computer thing since you’re required to have one anyway so I don’t stand out when I use it. That might be something you want to keep in mind. Otherwise, I say go for it! It’s a lot easier than carrying around a ton of notebooks!

I reuse my school supplies from past years and get old binders from my friends that they would have thrown away otherwise LOL.

I might have to go shopping for stuff this year though.

I GOT MY BACKPACKIE. :D

And omg highly recommend Right Pack. It just looks so good. So three pockets? It’s like made for me.

Seriously, nothing personal but superbreak is like really useless IMO. I used to have one and my small pocket was constantly filled with crap. Hopefully I can get organized with a 3 pocket system :)
