^unless his school has loaners like mine did.

I'd wait to buy a graphing calculator and check about loaners and which kind you need. Some schools require a particular model (generally TI 83/84, but not always).

I got a graphing calculator from last years.

Do I need binders AND 5-subject notebooks or just one or the other ?

I just use binders (with lined paper for notes) and just a notebook for English. Most would say one or the other...

Would it be stupid using both ?

I am just imagining if I have a lot of sheets or returned tests, when should I put them ?

Not at all, it's just a matter of preference. I use binders because we get a lot of handouts, plus graded work/tests and I don't like to cram them all into folders or the pockets in the front of notebooks. Some people prefer folders, whatever works for you...

i personally despise binders, instead i simply have a notebook per subject and just stick all papers that i get in the front of the notebook. it works. really all depends on ur organization and things.

Yeah, I'm too OCD to do that, it's just whatever works best for you, nns...

thanks guys. I have some ideas on what to buy now.

Thanks a lot for your help.
