hello. i was aiming for the ap national scholar award this year by taking 8 ap tests: chem, bio, euro, macro and micro, psych, human geo, and stats but the lady that accepts the committment forms says they cant offer the test since they dont offer those classes. i could only take chem, bio, and euro. what the heck do i do. the contacting service is in 4 days. it's stupid because they should offer it if you sign up for it. please respond. im desperate.

your school is allowed to offer any test whether or not they offer the course. They may not realize this, or they may simply not want to tie up a room and proctor for one student. Go talk to them again. You might be able to find another school in your town offering it.

will i be able to still do this

u might want to call the college board

only if you find a school who agrees to give you the exam. Start with your own school. The person you talked to may not realize they can order the exam(s) you want. If they are offering another subject exam in the same time slot, they can also stick you in the same room which solves the proctoring/space problem. But they have to be willing to do it. Go back and be more insistent.

If that doesn't work, start calling the AP coodinators at high schools near you to see if any of them will let you take the exam with their students. If that doesn't work, call the testing centers at any local colleges and see if they would be able to administer an AP exam (this will cost about $50 on top of the cost of the exam).

some states dont have many AP schools
does urs??
do u have one nearby??

do you have a good AP offering school within 30 mile radius??

find it out.. and take the test there

Our school seems to be willing to offer anything students are willing to take, as we don't have an AP world history class, but some students self studied after taking world history sophomore year and took the test (most didn't do too well). There is no requirement that you've taken the course to take the AP. They're probably too lazy to get you a proctor. Last year they seemed ticked off that me and one of my friends had a test conflict (Spanish Language and Computer Science), so we had to take the CS late, but we did take it.
