Let me start with some back story:
I went to a liberal arts school for my fall semester of freshman year but realized I didn’t like it and wanted to transfer to a larger university. So, I decided to go to a community college for the spring semester and then transfer to a university in the fall. I sent all my transcripts, SAT scores, essays, and everything that was required. However, one of my schools is saying that they are missing the transcript from this semester (at a school that I just started last week and don’t have grades for). I emailed the admissions office asking them what they want me to send in lieu of a transcript, but they said they will respond within 3 business days. I don’t really have time to waste seeing as I applied pretty late in terms of the deadline so is this something that I can talk to them about and they will be able to clear it up or will I have to send them a blank transcript?
essentially they want to see this semester’s grades and you will not receive a decision until June or so after you submit the transcript.
That’s what I was thinking but the school that I’m talking about doesn’t send decisions after the 15th of April, which is in the middle of my semester. So there’s no way I could do that and also get the application completed on time
You can still send a transcript without grades on them… They are reflected as “in progress.” When you request a transcript, there will usually be an option that asks “send transcript now” or “hold for grades.” Just send it now and they will see it is in progress.
