i think newer data is already available.. though i don't currently have the link.

maybe google could help out.. but i am not really good at searchin!

True. If I were an international student, I would probably divide the total aid number posted against each college by the school size. This should give international students an idea of how committed to funding international students schools are...

What's interesting that there are quite a few small schools (LACs) that are among the schools at the top of the list. I would have expected HYP and other big schools to be leading the smaller schools by a lot. Istitutional priorities, I guess...

wow this is quite different from what I expected..Thanks for good info.
[This gives me some hope]

If anyone has a newer version, please post the link~

These numbers can be deceiving. After looking at five Ivies (Y, Pr, Pn, B, Crn), they only aid 22.5% of internationals (651/2872) and while the average sum received is quite large, some schools still have EFC's of 10,000+ (USD) a year. Penn, still expect on average $20,000 a year AFTER financial aid. Also, don't forget that the aid can come in the form of grants, but it can also come in the form of large, lump-sum loans.

The point of the list was to point out schools that are committed to funding international students and do so with a significant portion of money. I can imagine that this is an incredibly helpful list in their search, which can be combined with academic rankings, PR category rankings or whatever else is important to each person. WealthOfInformation, I am not sure what your point was?

But that's a good point WealthOfInformation made, financial aid can come in the form of loans as well as grants. So you have to be careful. Some schools might give a lot of aid, but a large portion of it might come in the form of loans which may not be what you are looking for.

I thought most internationals don't get loans (for collateral issues) unless they are permanent residents or US citizens as well.

don't know about that...
