I felt the same way when I looked at the Syracuse info. Now to be fair- they did include pictures of snow too- beautiful fluffy mounds with a brilliant blue sky and clear pathways… Something tells me that grey skies and foot deep slush would have been more common…
Since they would have similar upstate NY weather - Am I recalling correctly that Ithaca had a tunnel so you didn’t have to go outside between several of the main buildings?
I grew up in MI went South for college and stayed. My blood has thinned and I am positive I couldn’t endure another winter of lake effect snow. Alas, my child feels the same, which should be helpful narrowing down where to apply next year. I enjoyed 70 degrees with fall color today ;).
This whole week has been upper 70s in Ohio. It’s fabulous! I wish it’d stay like this until summer (and that summer came early), except for a few days of snow at Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, it’s been so nice, we hung up Christmas lights outside! Why not; better to hang them now than in the cold that’s coming, and we won’t light them until after Thanksgiving, anyway.
