<p>I've come to the realization pretty late in the semester that I'd like to transfer from my state university. Having grown up in the same town as my (nationally respected, but not top-tier) school, and having dealt with homophobic parents all that time, I feel that I regret staying so close to home. Does anyone have suggestions of schools that accept late applicants and are of an average large state school "caliber"?</p>

UNC-CH had a deadline of February 15 for transfer students.</p>
