OK, so after completing applications to several school I need more options. I reside in Colorado, and got 1.5k/yr to CU and 4.5k/yr to Mines. My desire is to go into the petroleum industry with a ME or PetE degree. Although, I also have a great interest in the capital markets and a smaller desire to be a form of a product/vendor management.

Unfortunately, I feel pressured from my parents to go to Mines b/c of the lower cost and higher prestige, and as such I need a third option. This option would ideally be a top 80ish college with a top 60ish engineering program where I could attend for less than CU and Mines with scholarships. Are there any places that I should consider that have not yet had their deadlines pass.

I love the Mountains, but they are not necessary, and anyways I want to get out of the state- to see the world and for a possibly warmer climate.

I am 26 of 435 students (6%) and will move up to 4%is at grad

My SAT is 760 math, 680 reading
My SAT II- for Math level 2 is 800 and Physics is 720

My letters of rec should be great (they know me very well, are qualified, and have a great-m/b too great impression of me)

I have also, or am taking
AP Calc AB/BC (5)
AP History (4)
AP Physics B- studying for C test
AP gov
-indep study for macroecon

Also at CSU- local university I have taken
-m261 Calc 3 (A)
-m229 Matrices (B)
-m340 Dif Eq (A)
-ec202 microecon

My extra curriculars are good, but not great and probably my weakness.

So far, I have only found the University of Arizona and probably will apply, are there any other suggestions?

Another note, I get the western state deal (1.5x in-state tuition), and I have an application pending at U Penn- but probably won't go b/c costs will most likely be >20k/yr
