<p>Lots of kids start non-profits. Lots. The college’s #1 concern is how you will fit there and do academically, whether you really should take the place of some other kid. You can show drive, compassion, follow-through with your NP. Same for the “internships” (assuming they weren’t all gotten through connections or some fee based program, and you actually did something there.) But it’s not a magic key.</p>
<p>You need to get the Fiske or PR this week. If you are a mid-year junior, you need some solid info, fast. Not assuming or hoping.</p>
