Schools where gays aren't accepted

Just wondering, it sounds kind of mean. But are there any schools where gays are really not accepted into the community like everyone else, thanks.

Bob Jones University.

Brigham Young University

Washington and Lee
Texas A&M

A number of others. Check Princeton Review rankings.

Liberty University

Pensacola Christian College, they don't even like men and women students socializing outside the school

As sad as it is to admit, gays would probably be rejected from the community with a good deal of vigor up here at BYU. Heck, the majority even frowns upon liberalism.

Lets save some time here: any Conservative Christian School gays wouldn't be accepted. Maybe also at Oberlin. JK

what do you guys think about jesuit schools seeing that they're catholic and everything? i'm catholic, but i'm pretty liberal and i applied to some jesuit schools so it'd be interesting to hear your responses.

I'm not expert, but Jesuit schools seem to be on the more liberal and more accepting end of the Christian spectrum. It probably varies by school, but I wouldn't expect gays to have a big problem.

I know of a girl from my high school who's really into theater who is now at Loyala in Chicago. I don't think she's gay, but theater tends to attract more homosexuals than, say, journalism and this girl is definitely a social liberal. So maybe that helps.

Wheaton...

Oral Roberts, Texas Christian, Valley Forge, Eastern U., Southeastern, ...I could go on forever

rovee - I'm at Georgetown (Jesuit institution) and it's actually and surprisingly liberal.

hey, thanks for replying guys. that's good to hear about jesuit schools since i applied to a few. i also agree with lionswim about catholics being on the more liberal/accepting side. i know that by doctrine, gays and homosexuals are "not allowed," but a lot of catholics tend to disagree. i choose to be strong in my faith but maybe i'm being a "bad catholic" since it bugs me when people base ALL of their beliefs off of their religion. i don't know, that's just me.

Yeah D.C. is liberal like woah.

Jesuit Universities are more accepting. University of San Francisco is a Jesuit university in Frisco. A lot of gays. A lot. I've visited and it's very diverse and accepting. However, this may not be the case in the majority of religious schools.
