<p>I live in Mass, but I am applying to a lot of state schools. Most of them have a very small percentage of OOS students. Is the social life weird for OOS students as a result, since they can't go home?</p>
<p>You’ll want to have an idea of the percentage of students who are around campus on a typical weekend. Also, exposure to a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds is a great asset in a campus experience. Bear in mind that if you’re looking at a school with few OOS students, you’ll probably find one dominant student culture on campus.</p>
