Schreyer Honors College Essays

So, I’ve finished all three of my essays for the honors college, but I have a couple questions burning in the back of my mind.

Is there a certain format that Penn State looks for when reading essays? Ex., one of my essays only has two body paragraphs, and I’m a bit concerned that I should have three.

Also, while I’m fairly certain that I shouldn’t have to, since the essays are argumentative, I’m wondering if it would help my credibility to cite a source or two for my essays. Are they looking for something in-depth, or will “common knowledge” evidence be alright?

If format was really something they scrutinized, you would know it from them.
These essays are not going to be graded, but are read to see who you are.

I recommend giving enough information so that they can see from your essay that you know what you talking about. There will he no harm in showing how much you really know! Good luck.
