I just got a decision phone call from Sci-arc.(Undergraduate Program) I am pretty surprised that they make their acceptance call this early. Any one also got the call??</p>
<p>I am still having difficulties on "liking" this institute...please share any sic-arc's pros and cons because their are lots of two extreme opinion about this school. THX!</p>
<p>I got into sci-arc as well! I went and visited (informally) a month ago and I liked the school. However, it has a really…interesting… “campus.” My parents weren’t exactly impressed by the physical appearance of the school. However, they loved the arts district of LA and I actually felt pretty safe there. I only saw like one hobo. Most of the people there appeared to be hipsters/artists. Plus, I think that in a few years the area around sciarc will improve dramatically. <p>As for the work, I snooped around the school and looked at their stuff. it is super avante garde. Honestly, it looked more like a sculpture school than an architecture school. I kind of like the innovative approach that the school takes but I can see how graduates might have a hard time finding jobs. Nevertheless, the facilities looked better than those at USC’s architecture school and I’ve heard that they have all kinds of cool tech like robots in their building.</p>
<p>Overall, I am definitely considering sci-arc, but I don’t think that it is for everybody. Going to this school seems pretty risky but I think that if you do attend sci-arc, you will expand your creative boundaries and you will never see architecture in the same way ever again.
But I’m just a senior in high school so it’d be great if someone with a better knowledge of sci-arc could reply.</p>
