How are the science majors at ISU? Biochemistry anyone?

Sooo the science classes, programs, and majors aren’t too good I guess…?
I was thinking a double major on Chem Eng/Biochemistry or Genetics
And yea I know Engineering is good at ISU, but I want to go to med school and still need those other science classes, soooo any comments? Please? lol

Well University of Iowa is big when considering the medical field. Iowa State University considering it being good in engineering I also would assume it fares well in the medical field.

Thanks.
Are you from Iowa? How are the people there? I heard everyone’s real nice compared to here in FL. Know anyone from ISU? What’s their take on the school?
Don’t really have the money or time to go and visit. Is there stuff to do?

I’m from the state of Michigan and will be attending the University of Iowa this fall. Similar to you, I’ve heard that the students at UI are really friendly.

all science courses are the same in any university (same curriculum, same labs, hell i remember talking to a friend that goes to university of texas and we had very similar orgo lab projects)

pre med is the same wherever you go, its essentially just a guide to prep you for the MCATs, as long as you take your orgos, your calc, your bio, and have good writing skills you will be fine ( with a good gpa and leadership experience of course)
