Science Course Requirements

I took Earth science freshman year (no lab)
Bio (with lab as a sophomore)
Ap environmental (with lab as a junior)
AP physics (with lab as a senior)

From what I'm hearing, the UC schools aren't considering Enviro to be a lab science. Am I going to come off as undereducated in sciences? Especially since I never took chem?

Will 5 on AP Enviro and 34 on ACT science even this discrepancy out?

Anyone?

im a little confused why you have NO chemistry...you should have gone with chem junior year not environmental
but what will you major in?

chem at our school is a joke, and for "course rigor" and because it interested me more, I went for environmental, which is taken seriously at our school.

econ major

i just want to make sure i meet the requirements

Yeah, I'm applying to all liberal arts colleges, but I have kinda the same problem... 1 year environmental science, two years lab biology, and one year lab chemistry. Will this count against me at competitive liberal arts colleges? I'm not planning on going into the sciences...oh, and I'll have completed one year of Calculus by the time I graduate.

i understand that since i took AP enviro over chem, that I am like scientifcally deficient, but in my school APES is the hardest science you can take. (harder than physics just because of the teacher)

my question is more geared towards:

Will 5 on APES and 34 ACT science make up for my "deficiency"?

i would assume you should be fine but you should make sure that they dont require chem. i doubt they would but just to be safe.

Screw the teacher and the rigor at your school. Chemistry (along with Bio and Phys) is a fundamental science that you should know.

But if you aren't going to be a science major then it shouldn't hurt you significantly.

Btw a 5 on APES means almost nothing at competitive schools because it's so much easier than the hardcore sciences (bio/chem/phys).
