Science Olympiad

Does anyone have any past or present resources that they use for practicing/studying for the Science Olympiad topics? Websites, effective books, torrents/files?

My topics for this year are cell biology, ecology, and forensics. (I'm pretty solid in the first two, but I'm completely new to the field of forensics)

I would also like to know if anyone has any good suggestions. But, I think I may have one resource. Ever try the wiki on scioly.org? Very informative.

Wow, that website’s pretty good, alot of first-hand accounts/experiences.
Anyone else have any resources?

My stupid school got rid of Science Olympiad because not enough students joined. It was awesome in Junior High… but now nothing. I even got 1st’s in almost all of my events at State (3 of them but Mission Possible… grr).

What I did was get a hold of the rules, and for study events, I got all of the information I could on each topic…

I second scioly.org. Really amazing website.

As for Cell Biology and Ecology…they’re not too in depth. I’d recommend just memorizing the relevant Campbell’s chapters. Otherwise check the website (soinc.org) for some other resources. Do practice tests and such also on the scioly.org website.

For forensics, I’m not too familiar with it, but basically you need to practice doing a lot of labs. I believe they are on the official website, under Forensics.

Alot of the links and documents on the official Science Olympiad website seem to be broken…
