<p>Obviously, there are a plethora of science research internship opportunities for high school students, but, from what I can tell, most of them are not residential. Where I live, there is only one semi-prestigious opportunity. Can anyone provide a list of the science research internship programs that offer housing?</p>

Simons Summer Research Program at Stony Brook University
Garcia Summer Research Program at Stony Brook University
High School Honors Science Program (HSHSP) at Michigan State University
Young Scholars Program (YSP) at UC Davis
Student Science Training Program (SSTP) at the University of Florida
Science Internship Program (SIP) at UC Santa Cruz </p>
<p>Though not a research program, the Summer Science Program is also another residential science opportunity for students interested in astrophysics.</p>

<p>My best friend did a Research program at UCSB this summer and she had the best time! She said her dorm was right on the beach and was able to work with a professor/mentor and did a big research paper and said she had to present it too. I think I am going to look into it for this summer.
