Sciences Po Columbia Dual BA 2017 Entry

Does anyone know how good this program is if you want to go to law school? (In the US)

Hi everyone ! that’s my first post on this blog, I look forward to apply to this program, I am a french student in 11th grade and I will apply in august. I’d like to know if some students can talk with me about the application. I am really motivated.

@akselfrench hi, I’m not a “real” student yet, but we can definitely talk about the (rather extensive) application process I’ve successfully survived haha. Just hit me up with your questions  (maybe pm)

haha thanks i didn’t think someone would answer me as quickly ! can we talk by private messages because i have such many questions aha ! And moreover precise questions which wouldn’t interess many people

If anyone has any questions they can ask me as well! PM me

Thank you I DM you !

Hey, so idk if any of the current dual ba students still follow this thread, but I am waiting for my decision for the 2018 entry and applied to the Menton campus. I was wondering if anyone here would be able to tell me what the living costs are like there? Thnx

Yes! Good luck on your application, results come out soon right?
Housing costs vary a lot throughout the city. The student housing ranges from 200 to 300 euro per month, but I’m assuming you’re talking about living in an actual apartment. For that, you can find a double (two rooms, one small kitchen, one small bathroom) for around 300 euro. That’s going to be the cheapest option, but not the prettiest. The majority of students live in larger (kitchen/2 bath) dual or triple apartments, where they pay in the range of 400-500, and single apartments/houses vary all over the board (but it’s not a very popular option). Upon acceptance, you’ll be invited to the facebook group, where you can specifically ask for a price range (as a lot of current students are looking to room with new 1A’s!).
In terms of food, you can easily spend about 30-70 euro a week on groceries, depending on what type of meat/vegetables/fruits you’re buying. (to make this cheaper take a train to Ventimiglia and bring groceries back from Italy, it can save 20 euros from a purchase) If we assume a house price of 450, and an average grocery price of 50, you’ll be spending 5000 euros on living for one year.
Travel expenses are then up to you. But tickets to italy (rome) can be as low as 9 euros, and flights to london range from 9-50 euro.

Thank you so much @DualBAMenton ! This was really helpful! Decisions should be this week and I am so anxious!!!
