Money is, indeed, an important factor in attracting the best faculty. Nothing strange or "funny" about it!

Awesome. so what was your point?

how about posting the most recent faculty salary information? i believe princeton does very well on it.

"In a Princeton bragging Post." --Byerly

Just in case you've lost yourself in your ridiculous posts, this IS the PRINCETON forum. What are you doing here? Just let go. Princeton didnt mean to hurt you.

I'm EVERYWHERE ... separating truth from fiction, facts from boasting!

Hope this doesn't frighten you!

lol you're everywhere? like a stalker...

And who exactly appointed you to be the police force against the Princeton board, Byerly? You're not attempting to separate truth from fiction, you're actually unwilling to accept the fact that Princeton is an amazing school that is considered, ALONG with the school that you for some reason choose to obsessively support, the best school in the country.

Don't you have better things to do than to dismantle every attempt a young Princeton student makes to show and have school pride? You're not a nice man, Byerly. You're schemes are actually quite nasty if you think about it. Do that for me, Byerly. THINK before you maliciously post something on the Princeton board.

Stalker? That rather describes yourself, Zante. 7,073 posts?

By the way, Chip, I'm a very nice man, and as for school pride, I'm all for it - at amazing Princeton and everyplace else!

Do you know this stirring song?

First the little heard verse...

"In Princeton town we've got a team
That knows the way to play.
With Princeton spirit back of them,
They're sure to win the day.
With cheers and song we'll rally 'round
The cannon as of yore,
And Nassau's walls will echo with
The Princeton Tiger's roar:

Followed by the famous refrain ...

"Crash through that line of Blue
And send the backs around the end!
Fight! Fight for every yard!
Princeton's honor to defend
(rah rah rah!)
Roar, Tiger! Sis boom bah!
And locomotives by the score!
We will fight with a vim that is dead sure to win
For Old Nassau!"

in all honesty Byerly, I must say that I am touched by your post.

Thank you.

Here's the Princeton Band's version:

what id really love is to hear you sing it in person. but for now, this will do. : )

btw, i sang Fair Harvard when i dropped off my sister at Harvard last year.

Here, of course, is the TRUE Harvard alma mater:

very nice. "fight fiercely. lets not be rough though."

see post #23, byerly.

Can't check it now, but my recollection is that the full professor rate at Harvard is $163 thousand, $151 thousand at Princeton, and $145 thousand at Yale - or thereabouts. Don't hold me to it.

aww mightychip! you sang for your sister? shoot that's sweet.

Byerly, leave Zante alone. You are a grown man. She is a very intelligent young woman. OK, in my day she would have been called a girl. Fight fair against the kids. Please.

Don't be silly. Nobody is "fighting".

Isn't it just a bit silly to hold on with such loyalty to an institution whose relevant population changes completely every four years? I am assuming, of course, that you are not faculty.

yea Mea, i sang for my sister! we are such a close family... i will miss them so once I leave.

The problem is I have no idea how my mother is going to get through the first few weeks.
