Quick question, my SAT is a 2150 and my ACT is a 32 (composite), most people tell me that a 32 is equal to or a bit worse than a 2150 bbbbuuutt 2150=98th percentile and 32=99th percentile, so my question is what is more important...the percentile or the actual score? Also, just curious do percentiles change for each testing date, and if so do the colleges look at the percentile for the date that you took the test or just some general/averaged percentile?

Yeah, i'm in a similar boat. I got a 2110 and a 32 ACT. The ACT is 99 percentile and the SAT is 98 percentile. I am going to report both but I think my SAT is more impressive based solely IMHO that the ACT is a joke.

the ACT is a joke? what? the SAT is a joke because it is designed to root out low income minorities from the college system. the ACT actually attempts to test how well you have learned high school material and actually acknowledges that it is not an accurate measure of academic success.

^ i agree...but i the SAT is more prestigious than the ACT. do whatever you want.

The SAT is the joke ;), I think everyone here will agree.

Haha, someone just told me a joke, they said that the SAT doesn't favor liberal arts asses... and they'll view those 2 scores the same approx. neither will hurt/help much more than the other. however in my case, 34 vs 2060... screw the college board! and SAT being "more prestigious" is prob true but has no bearing on admissions, as the two are weighted equally.

SAT more prestigious? does that mean that it is favored in admissions? like is 98th percentile in SAT more respected by college admissions than a 99th percentile ACT score b/c the ACT is a "joke"? I would hope that they are weighed equally...
