So CollegeBoard had “fulfilled” on my test scores (August 2018 SAT and June 2018 science scores) since October so I assumed that they were sent to MIT. I didn’t see the testing section checked off on MyMIT but I thought that was due to system delay in downloading and displaying data. But apparently that wasn’t the case because the admissions emailed me (both the one that goes out to all applicants with missing materials and a reply to a previous email I sent about scores not being displayed as sent) yesterday about the missing scores. For some reason my scores from the tests I took in the year 2017 are there but the ones I took in 2018 aren’t. (so they basically don’t have my highest scores, which I self reported in the application)
I called the CollegeBoard and they confirmed me that those scores were sent to MIT and gave me the batch number too (which I forwarded to MIT admissions). But apparently they’re still unable to find my scores even with the batch number.
What should I do? Am I in trouble? I emailed them again asking these same questions but I’m still worried and I want to know if anyone else is/was in same situation as mine and hopefully get some advice here…
Thanks!
edit: I’m EA btw which is why I’m freaking out so much
Have you told CollegeBoard what MIT told you?
@espressomac Yes I did. They said it’s weird because apparently they see the scores as completely sent.
Ask MIT if they need you to send them again.
@intparent I asked them that in my previous email. Hopefully they’ll get back to me soon about that. Do you think I can send them screenshots and/or the PDF score reports I downloaded from CollegeBoard?
If you self reported in the app, likely nothing else will do except the official score report. Don’t panic —they can’t teview everyone’s app at the same time anyway.
MIT will tell you what needs to be done. Don’t stress.
@skieurope They haven’t told me to re-send score reports yet, so should I wait until they tell me to do so (or not) or re-send it just in case?
It’s the weekend. You’re likely not going to get a response from MIT before Monday. Sit tight and see what they say.
@skieurope
That’s what they replied to me to my email (where I said pretty much what I said in the post). Is everything okay? Are they not asking for resending of scores because the rest of my application isn’t good enough so it’s not worth doing all that or something? I hope my application will get fully reviewed :///
They are telling you to sit tight, and they will respond when they know more. My **guess/b is that you are not unique with the situation. Regardless, I would not look for hidden messages in the email.
Update: all scores are now displayed as processed on MyMIT portal. I guess you can close this thread now @skieurope
