Hey guys just got my May 2 SAT back and scored a 510 for math. I am aiming for a 600 on my Fall Sat. What books/resources are best for me to accomplish this goal?
Barron’s overall book… Practice practice practice.
^No barrons is way too hard especially for someone scoring a 500 no offense. Get the college board blue book and do the practice tests. Those are extremely realistic.
check out your score report, and see the topics in which you made the most errors.THEN, do practices.
Grubers is AMAZING for Math! It has the 110 questions you must know to score >650. You can find it online. Google “Gruber sat 2400”
Barron’s is way to hard… I never got above 700 with Barron’s, but I got 800 on real test… I recommend mcgraw hill and official practice test from college board.
I disagree. I used to get 740-760 on Barron’s then got an 800 on the real exam.
The College Board blue book AND the online program. I think it’s around $50-60?? So totally worth it so long as you actually use it. It has auto-grading of essays, which is extremely helpful. Lots of ways you can practice and explanations for everything. The book is essential, but it’s not enough. If I told you my DS improvement in one summer using the online course, you wouldn’t believe me, so just trust me – it works if you do. And, finally, one key to success is believing you can do it; and you can.
sat math for dummies is very clear/good for basics, barrons sat 2400 is good for solidifying the info
