<p>I don’t think it’s a good idea. Schools are important for the social experience in addition to the information presented. There’s a lot of value in class discussions and teachers who actually know you and real-life classmates to commiserate with and bounce ideas off of.
I understand that most high schools sort of bastardize this idea, but I don’t think isolating yourself in a room with a computer is the answer. The knowledge you get is too canned and you don’t get a chance to personally connect with ideas.</p>
<p>I personally wouldn’t recommend it. A great deal of things are missed out when you don’t have a teacher nor classmates to talk with. </p>
<p>On another note, my local state university just dumped Udacity due to a 70% failure rate.</p>
