Screwed for AP Physics B?

We spent a week on optics/nuclear physics last year in my class…needless to say, I was worried and stressed, especially knowing that I had to take Biology in the morning right before the Physics B exam. >__< I thought that I would have time for lunch in between, but as soon as I got out of biology, people were already lined up for physics and I was like…damn it all. Physics MC felt like absolute crap to me. I felt a lot better after FRQ’s, though. End result: 5, on both biology and physics. I was surprised and happy. :D

My advice to you…try to cram in as much FRQ practice as you can. It will save your life. Even if you haven’t touched nuclear, you’ll be fine as long as you’re pretty solid on everything else. That being said, it might be better for you to focus on what you know and just disregard nuclear entirely if you feel that trying to self-study new material last minute won’t be of much help in the end.

I really wish I was taking the AP Physics B. I seriously over studied the Physics for the SAT 2 (enough to get a 5 on the B test) instead of studying for the AP Physics C test.

Gauss’s Law still messes me up. This really angers me especially since I am in Multivariable Calculus (I am unable to comprehend the stuff without Double Integrals for the Surface Integrals). I expect to get a 5 but I make simple mistakes with Gauss’s Law and Ampere’s Law. I really wish I was taking B (should have taken it last year but decided only to take Calc BC).

I wish everyone luck on physics on Monday (I think its on monday for me, lol.)

dragontoe: Same here! I need a couple hours of break tonight, but after that I am RIPPING through the ENTIRE year of Physics B. I’ll probably take a practice exam and review topics I suck at, because I don’t have the patience to actually read physics…
I’ll read chapters I have no clue on (essentially everything, but STRAIGHT LINE MOTION WOOOO)

I’m determined to get a 4. Even though it won’t count for me at all. A 5 wouldn’t be bad, either ;)

We can do it guys!

Hey does getting a bad grade on Physics B matter if you are going to take Physics C?

Cant I just not report it and say that I did not want to take it since most colleges accept only Physics C credit/Physics C is Physics B + more indepth so there was no point in taking B?

Ive been studying my ass off…I think I can get a 4…but does it even matter even if I get a 5?

I’ve been focusing all my energy on AP Bio that this test is the last thing on my mind. I don’t even know why I signed up for it… you don’t get out of first year physics with this test if you are majoring in the sciences!! Oh well…
