Screwed up, essay too short

Gah, I just submitted my applications to UCB, UCLA, and UCSD, and I totally forgot about the suggested 250-word minimum for essays. My first essay is 206 words, while my second is 592. The application never reminded me about it, so I just didn’t think of the suggested minimum.

Is this going to hurt me in the application process?

You should be fine. If you covered everything you wanted sufficiently with your 206 words, there should be no problem. It is better to keep things succinct than to ramble on for a few hundred words.
