Screwup in Common App profile...will my chances be affected?

What’s good CC,
I’ve recently finished up and submitted my common app to most of my schools, but I’ve had one small mishap that wasn’t noticed until I had already submitted some colleges (stupid on my part, I know). So on my common app I selected “I don’t know” for my visa, but I just found out that I want the F-1 Visa (and I’ve selected this on my financial aid forms). Will colleges be suspicious if they see this, and will it affect my chances?

Honestly, I don’t think that it will make a huge different. I think they just wanted to know what citizenship/status you have, and as long as you put it on the financial forms, they can see it there. You’ll probably be okay. If you want to be extra careful, you could email your colleges the update.
