Accepted EA

Major: Computer Science
SAT: 1460 (700 RW, 760 Math)
$5,100 Incentive Grant

I was deferred :slight_smile: It is kinda funky how I got into Chapman and SDSU but not SCU. It doesn’t sting much because from what I am reading, SCU is not giving people enough finaid which is a bummer because money shouldn’t be the barrier between a student and their education (especially when they earned it and got accepted to the university). Good job to everyone who got in and don’t be too hard on yourself if you didn’t.

I got in ED for comp sci and engineering with a 3.75 UW, 4.0 W, and 32 ACT. However, for senior year I was overly ambitious with my classes (4 APs and 1 regular class) and I was not in the best mood because of situations at home, so my UW GPA for this semester is a 3.2 and my W GPA is a 4.2. Will this get me rescinded?

@outofaz Did you indicate you needed FA? We are in similar situation with very high stats and a little surprised that he did not get in (deferred). I’m shocked you were outright Denied with those stats.

does anyone know the process to appeal for a better financial aid package? scu is one of my top schools but i need a better aid package :frowning:

Congrats to your offer. SCU is good school and continues to move forward (will participate in USNews National Universities Ranking). You should talk to admission office and your program office by calling them or even visiting them in person. Try your best to do that and you will get more financial support.

Got into SCU for biology!
Dean Scholarship for 18k per year ALSO
Incentive Grant for 35k Per year
Comes out to 53000 per year. Is this basically full tuition? can someone advise? and the number on eCampus is a yearly number right not total?

Thank you!

@vince824 Congratulations!

@Collegeon23 Santa Clara accepts by school not major unless you applied to the Comp Sci & Engineering Major.
