Sdsu 2024 chance me?

chance me for BS in criminal justice, in-state resident?

CSU GPA: 4.0
ACT: 24

SDSU admits by eligibility index and major. Average EI ACT was 1069. Average CSU GPA was 3.97 and ACT 27.5 for 2019 admits.

You are within range with a 1040 EI but not solid Match.

Best of luck.

@Gumbymom Would you say that my decision could go either way, as I could get accepted or waitlisted/denied? I don’t think it’s a safety school, but I don’t think it’s a big reach either

I think you have a better than 50% chance but it really depends upon how you stack up against all the other CJ applicants.

Just so more information about CJ admissions.

For 2019, there were 2387 Freshman applicants for the Criminal Justice major. SDSU accepted 497 and enrolled 161. Acceptance rate was 21%.

@Gumbymom what are your thoughts on acceptance of an EI of 1070 for a secondary mathematics education major at SDSU?

@kukui77: Your EI is around the average EI campus wide so I think you can consider SDSU a close Match school.

Best of luck.

Thank you @Gumbymom

@Gumbymom Do you know if the Honors # is a max of 8 points including AP, or would that be 8 more points? I’m having trouble figuring out the EI #.

8 Honors points only for UC approved Honors, AP/IB or DE courses taken 10-11th grades.

Use the Rogerhub UC GPA calculator is figure out your CSU capped weighted GPA which equals the UC capped weighted GPA in the calculation. Also your correct CSU GPA should be on your application

Then plug that into the EI calculator: https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/eligibility-index
