SDSU Admissions Class of 2026

SDSU usually sends out the invite with the email acceptance. You do not have to be invited to apply.

Students do NOT need to be admitted into San Diego State University before applying to the Weber Honors College. Students who have applied to SDSU can apply to the Weber Honors College prior to receiving their admission decision from the University.**

Fall 2022 Priority Consideration Deadline:

Monday, January 17 , 2022

Given the competitive nature of the application process, we strongly urge all interested students to apply to the Weber Honors College by 11:59pm on Monday, January 17. Applicants will be notified of their Weber Honors College admission decision in late February.

Do you think if you apply to the Honors College it could give you a leg up into getting admitted to SDSU? Like it shows you’re really interested?

Is there an SDSU transfer thread for fall 2022?

SDSU does not consider an applicants level of interest in their admission decision but if an applicant is interested in the Honors college, it is better to apply early since spots are limited and get filled quickly.

Hi, what part of CA did your daughter apply from and when did she push submit? I’m still waiting on my decision as a poli sci major with similar stats

We’re out of state. From AZ

D(OOS) in … shocked! Randomly checked site, expecting Feb. ACTs submitted. Good Luck!

ACT is not a consideration since SDSU is test blind. Please post stats on this discussion:

Checked last year’s thread. In-state acceptances for high stats kids went out Dec. 18, a Friday. I’m guessing tomorrow may be the day this year. People said they found information on their portals and some said they got emails. One person shared their email and it said “Your official admission letter is available in the Message Center in your SDSU WebPortal account. If you have not activated your SDSU WebPortal account, please follow the steps on the I Have Applied web page to activate it. You need to activate your account before you can view your admission letter. You have a surprise coming your way, so make sure to check your email periodically in the next few weeks. Your official admission packet will be mailed to you soon.”

The surprise turned out to be an invitation to apply to the honors college.

We live in Texas and my son got admitted today. We received an email. He has a 3.8 GPA, some APs, great essays, and good EDs. Does this mean we might hear from Cal Poly soon?

Cal Poly SLO or Cal Poly Pomona? Neither releases decisions till February at the earliest.

SLO. Reason I’m asking is that I never thought we would hear from SDSU this early.

SDSU has always done early admits for a small percentage of applicants. There is a monetary benefit in locking in OOS admits early.

Unless something has changed, SLO has always been in February, somewhere around the 3rd week. I haven’t heard of them doing an early round of admits.
