@sammy147519: All Nursing majors are admitted as a Pre-major. You need to complete the required pre-req courses with the specific GPA before officially declaring the major. SDSU admits into the Pre-major for the majority of their majors.
Congratulations!!!

@sammy147519: I will still be around haunting the Cal state and UC forums. Wishing you the best of luck and my younger son loved his time at SDSU. He even tried convincing me to allow him to take a 5th year at SDSU. Great academics combined with great fun…

Does anyone have any idea when the other majors could come out?

has anyone been rejected for nursing yet?
I was told when we visited in Feb 2020 (before COVID really shut things down) that they only accepted 5% of nursing applicants. Not sure if that is also true this year.
I feel like because no actual emails have been sent to nursing students, that acceptances are still being imputed and such. Will people please let us know when they receive an actual email?
I just kept refreshing the portal.
Did you find out at the exact same time as the other people or was it later? Like even just 30 minutes later or something?
Here are the acceptance rates for SDSU Nursing since 2017.
2017: 7%
2018: 6%
2019: 5%
2020: 6%

This!! I haven’t seen anyone talk about Film Studies
Or anything Drama/Theater related?
yeah ofc! i think me and everyone else were just checking our protals
I got an email a couple of hours later after I saw my portal (in December)
Hello! So I just did the virtual office hours thing for SDSU and the lady I talked to said she is honestly a little confused why people are able to see it on their portals but haven’t gotten emails. She says they will very likely come out in intervals, but she doesn’t know how those intervals are decided. She also said that acceptances should be coming out this week, but no exact date is in place. So for now, not all hope is lost! Congratulations to everyone already accepted!!!

Congratulations to your son!
Are you comfortable sharing your son’s stats by chance?
Sure. I don’t know how to recalculate for CSU’s but he has a 3.84 UW and 4.33 W on his transcript. It didn’t count this year but he has a superscore of 1450 on the SAT. 690 Reading/Writing and 760 Math.

With Cal Poly, I received the decision 6 hours before an actual email showed up - others experienced the same. With UC Riverside, I got an email and the portal still doesn’t show anything :). So since SDSU is a CSU, I would guess that it’s going to be like Cal Poly. Portal first, email later (much later).
