@Gumbymom so what do we do now, SDSU or CPP? 
We didn’t expect him to get accepted to sdsu, and was ready to accept CPP. Now we have to research on sdsu

For those reporting acceptances this afternoon/evening, had you checked earlier in the day? I wonder if they roll decisions into portals at different times through the day or if it’s once a day, and people only see it later.

HS course rigor:
9 APs, 2 UC-approved Honors weighted classes, and 8 community college classes (4.0gpa, all transferrable). This includes his current classes in Senior year.
Total 29 years of A-G courses.
Accepted to SDSU, CPP, CSUF, UCRiverside, SJSU (alternate major only), and other CSUs
Waitlisted: CSULB
Pending: SLO and 4 UCs
Rejected: None yet

Now we have to compare CPP and SDSU. We haven’t researched SDSU that much, didn’t expect it.

@mmrl8794: Both CPP and SDSU are ABET accredited for CS, offer a comprehensive CS curriculum and both have CS/Cybersecurity focused clubs if that is his area of interest.
What SDSU had of interest for my son which I have mentioned before, was the ISCOR major/minor program (International Security and Conflict Resolution). He took 2 courses in this area along with Global campus for some other Cybersecurity courses.
Academics was not the only reason he chose SDSU, he was also interested in Greek life which is an integral part of SDSU’s campus culture as opposed to CPP. There is something for everyone and you can find like minded students so not being involved in Greek life is also fine.
I do not know if you have visited SDSU, but definitely worth your time to check out the CS Department and what SDSU has to offer. I think there is no wrong option between the two schools but they will be different college experiences.
