SDSU Nursing CHANCE ME

I go to a competitive private school in the north east and my EI is 4064 due to my low SAT (not my strong-suit: 1240). I have many ECs I’ve participated in for 3 years and senior year I stopped them to work 25 hours a week. They are:
Mock Trial - captain
Dive Team
Competitive Cheer- MVP award
Outdoor Track- State Qualifier
Medical Minds Club
School Ambassador

Honors:
National Honor Society
Spanish National Honor Society
Spanish Language Excellence Award

I also have 230+ volunteer hours and spent summer going into junior year as a Yale New Haven Hospital Volunteer.
I noticed I fit the criteria on the admitted students page well for the past few years except for the most recent year I am now slightly below.

What are you chances?

I also forgot to mention I’m on the student government and was captain of cheer my junior year.

When making their decisions, SDSU only looks at your GPA and test scores. They do not take into consideration any of your EC’s or volunteers hours, etc. For nursing, they also take a very close look at the rigor of courses you took, what grades you got in certain math and science classes, etc. Good luck to you, and be sure to apply to other nursing programs as well, as it is a competitive major.

For SDSU Nursing, you need around a 4500+ EI to be competitive and as stated above, they do not consider EC’s or awards.
