I was accepted into SDSU for the fall of 2017. I reported on my application that I would be taking AP Statistics 2nd semester senior year. Due to scheduling conflicts I am not able to take this class, and I reported that to the admissions committee but it was already late in the process and they said that they couldn’t guarantee that would be included in my application material.
Will SDSU revoke my acceptance due to this discrepancy in my application?
Thank you!
As long as you have contacted SDSU with the schedule information, you should be fine. Keep the correspondence you have with SDSU admissions just in case to prove you indeed notified them.
SDSU would only revoke your acceptance if you failed to notify them of the schedule change since they will be asking for final transcripts. You might want to send them your Mid-year transcript if it shows the schedule change.
Ok, I will arrange for a transcript to be sent on Monday! Thank you for your help
A little late, but I bear good news!
You did the right thing in informing them, I would say that you not scheduling that class won’t result in an acceptance revoke. I was on the very same boat last year, where I had informed them in the fall that I would take a course in Calc 1, but then I changed my mind due to the load of courses I had. They told me that it would have no impact. I’m typing this right before one of my class at SDSU so don’t worry about it.
Congrats on making it to SDSU!
