SDSU SAT Score Deadline

I have a question about the SDSU deadlines. The deadline to send official SAT scores to SDSU is May 1st and I didn’t send my scores until yesterday. College Board takes weeks to deliver the scores to a college so I did the rush option which will take 2-4 business days. That means I have today, Friday, and Monday to hope that my scores are delivered by the deadline at 11:59 PM on Monday night. If the scores don’t make it in time, will my application be withdrawn? I know that SDSU is really strict with these deadlines but hopefully I’m just overreacting.

Okay, you have a real issue. SDSU has rescinded admission if the SAT deadline is missed. They are severely impacted. Contact admissions at SDSU now. Let them know that you have requested your SAT scores, and they should arrive before the deadline. Ask them what happens if they arrive just after the deadline. By one day. Make sure they know they have been sent, and that the difference would be only one day. That’s an important point. Ask if it’s possible for them to still accept them if they arrive late by one day or less.

You have everything to gain by talking to admissions at SDSU. Contact them now. The thing is, you need to contact them BEFORE the deadline for you to have any chance at this working. Contact them now. If they are closed, email them now, and call them first thing tomorrow when they open.

And please know that, in my personal experience, the College Board has gone more on the shorter side of that 2-4 day timeframe. That said, if they don’t get your scores to SDSU by the SDSU deadline, SDSU really might rescind. I don’t say that to panic you, but to prepare you. Deep. Breaths.

I hope your SAT scores arrive on time, and that all is well for you. But if the scores do not arrive on time, SDSU may rescind. You need to know that. It may all go well. But it might not. Have a backup plan in mind should your scores not get there on time.

If your scores don’t get there on time and they rescind, you have a chance to file an appeal, but to speak honestly, your appeal won’t be granted. Being late to request your scores isn’t a good enough reason. But you’d want to file it anyway. Then make plans - for example, going to a community college and transferring in from there.

Again, I hope your scores fly fast like lightening and all is well.

Are you sure the deadline is Monday night? Because mine says that deadline to submit is May 1st also, so wouldnt that mean you have until tuesday night?

Also they need to be postmarked by that day. So you are probably ok but I’d call to notify them.
