.

@sdsuaztecs SFSU did not ask for unofficial transcripts, I am a local candidate, and my transfer major was not impacted so it was a given that I would be accepted.

I didn’t fill out the supplemental application. How much will this hurt my chances?

@Czeromool Oh okay gotcha, thanks for the reply!
@lal08kb12004 Honestly it’s pretty much guaranteed that you won’t be accepted if you didn’t complete the supplemental app. Your best bet would be to write an appeal letter, as your situation could be reason enough for them to reconsider you. Look up the appeal process on their website.

@sdsuaztecs Appeal letter when I get declined? Or an appeal letter to let me submit the supplemental app?

Also, I just realized the e-mails they were sending me were in my spam folder. I don’t think this is a good excuse, but it’s the truth. Do you think that’s enough to get them to budge?

@lal08kb12004 Wait until after the admission decisions are out and then submit the letter. Appeal letters are typically only considered when the applicant has a special circumstance which negatively impacted their chances of admission. For instance, simply talking about how hard you worked and how badly you want to attend the school would not be a good enough reason for admissions to accept the appeal. You do have somewhat of a special circumstance though. I remember someone on a different forum saying they were denied admission because of a mistake they made on their supplemental app. They filed an appeal explaining their situation and it was accepted. So definitely give it a try. I think it’ll also depend on how impacted your major is and how many people in your major choose to attend a different school after they are admitted (which would open up some spots). Good luck

@lal08kb12004 Second thought… I think I remember reading somewhere that you need to submit the appeal within 30 days of your admission denial or within 30 days of a missed deadline, which I’m guessing would include the supplemental application. You’ll need to double check that though.

I got accepted !! I applied for Business Admin(Managment) with a 2.33 GPA. They never sent me an email, but people should just check their portals.

@olopez805 Congrats! That’s pretty strange that they’d send out acceptances a month in advance though. Are you part of some program or something?

@sdsuaztecs: I think poster @olopez805 may have posted in wrong section. Poster was asking about CSUN and based on stats it is highly unlikely the acceptance is real but I could be wrong.

@sdsuaztecs i am part of a ATT or AST degree so i should be guaranteed admission. It was strange because i never received an email that i got accepted, i just decided to go into the portal and it had the accept or decline option for admission, and they havent asked for any of my transcripts yet.

@olopez805: The SDSU website states that you are given priority if you get your ATT or AST degree, not that you are guaranteed according the 2016 website.

Associate Degree for Transfer
Applicants who earn an Associate in Arts for Transfer or an Associate in Science for Transfer degree (AA-T/AS-T) in one of the following SDSU-approved majors listed below and apply to the appropriate CSUMentor major will be given admission priority.

Fall 2016 Applicants
Please note that all transfer applicants, including AA-T/AS-T applicants, are required to complete the SDSU Supplemental Application. Additional information about this step is available online on supplemental application website.

There is no guaranteed admission under the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for any major for which there is an SDSU-approved Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T/AS-T degree).

@olopez805 Yeah like @Gumbymom said, the AA-T degree just gives you priority over other students… it doesn’t guarantee your admission. I believe they call it a “degree with a guarantee” because at least one cal state school is guaranteed to accept you (even if you didn’t apply to all of them). So in your portal, are you sure your admission status says “Admission Status: ACCEPTED”?

It’s also kinda strange because last year they were saying that those with AA-Ts and AS-Ts received their admission decision after everyone else, I guess because they reserve a bunch of spots for those people.
