So, I got an email today from SDSU saying that I got accepted to the Weber Honors College and to accept admission by May 1st. But my admission status on my SDSU portal still says pending, so I am confused about whether or not I am actually admitted to SDSU or will be admitted. :-/
@RatedR95 Yes, however, by being accepted through the Honors College I was also given a special link to complete my “Intent to enroll” (I have until May 1st as well). SO, basically the link provided in your email is the one you should follow, considering you choose to attend. I just got off the phone with SDSU. Acceptance to the Honors College = acceptance to the school.
@Jayden4040 oh okay great! I wasnt aware of that…so apparently Honors applicants are notified pretty early on then…and yes I was given a special link as well. Congratulations to you too!
Waaaait GUYS!
I’m freeeeaking out!
Please please help me figure this out!
I was reviewing an old forum on College Confidential for SDSU transfer admissions from 2014 and I saw that everyone was talking about how they put in their supplemental application that they were in the process of completing their AA-T/AS-T.
I totally remember putting this information on my CSU mentor application.
…But I can’t remember if I put it on my supplemental application!!! I am a huge control freak and I make sure to verify everything at least 3 or 4 times; so I am confident that if the option to add that I am in the process of completing my AA-T/AS-T was on the supplemental application that I definitely would have marked it/wrote it!
But the reason that I am freaking out is because I am reviewing my supplemental application on the SDSU web portal right now and there is literally NO WHERE that it says anything about my AA-T/AS-T. I don’t mean that it says that I am not in the process of receiving my AA-T/AS-T… I mean that there is actually no spot on my supplemental application where it mentions AA-T/AS-T at all.
I checked every section and I reviewed the summary page like a million times. I read everything word for word. I can not find it!
Can you guys pleeeease go onto your portals and click “View Supplemental Application” and see if it mentions it anywhere!? And if you find it, please let me know where it says it!
I apologize for the cyber anxiety attack - at this point i’m sure you guys all understand where i’m coming from, though.
@SDSUprettyplease if you open up your supplemental application in the portal there is a tab at the top that says “AA-T/AS-T” it is right next to the “major preparation tab” hope this helps!
Okay so disregard that entire post. I tried to find out how I can delete it but I can’t.
I found out what’s going on.
My intended major is Business Admin (Finance) – this major has no AA-T/AS-T approval for SDSU.
I put down that my alternate major is Business Admin (Financial Services) – this major DOES have AA-T/AS-T approval for SDSU.
Sooo basically I am really SOL as far as having the advantage of an AA-T/AS-T because they probably won’t acknowledge it since it is for my alternate major.
Maybe you guys can just give me some feedback on what you think??
My GPA isn’t the best - I’ve heard it’s an advantage to be a senior at a local CC, though? I could be wrong.
Major: Business Admin (Finance)
GPA: 2.94
AA-T/AS-T: No (only for Financial Services emphasis)
Pre-reqs: All will be complete by Spring 2016
Golden 4: Yes
SD Area: Yes
@SDSUprettyplease I was actually freaking out too because the same thing happened to me. I’m getting an AA-T in kinesiology but my emphasis at SDSU (pre-physical therapy) doesn’t accept any associate degrees for transfer. My alternate major does accept the AA-T though, so I’m in the same boat as you. I think the supplemental application is set up to only acknowledge your first choice intended major, but I don’t think that necessarily means that they won’t see your transfer degree from the initial CSUmentor application. I think if they’re considering you for your alternate major they’ll be able to see this and either request verification of the degree when the time comes or simply accept you on a conditional basis until you show proof. This is just my guess.
Major: Accounting
GPA: 3.51
AA-T/AS-T?: No, I will have an AA in Business Administration.
Pre-reqs: Done by spring 2016
Golden 4: 4 B’s
SD Area?: Yes, SD Miramar College
Other Schools applied to: CSULB (Accepted), SJSU (Accepted), Cal Poly SLO (Pending)
Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.69
AA-T/AS-T: By Spring 2016
Pre-Reqs: Done by this Spring 2016
Golden 4: Yes, 3 A’s 1 C (I suck at math)
SD Area: No, Northern California
SDSU is the only school I applied to so hopefully I get in, I know chances aren’t great for non-local students but I’m keeping my hopes up!
That’s normal but you shouldn’t be able to edit it though. Now that’s something you should be curious about but don’t worry if that’s the case! Just call admissions if you can still edit it to let them know.
Major: TTF: Critical Studies (gonna switch my emphasis to Production though)
GPA: 3.61
AA-T/AS-T: Nope!
Pre-Reqs: Done by this Spring 2016
Golden 4: I have two A’s, a B and a C.
SD Area: Yup
@sdsuaztecs Yeah I am pretty bummed that it’s probably not going to give me and edge in the decision process… but it is what it is! You are probably right about your thoughts on their process with the whole alternate major AA-T/AS-T situation. We will just have to see
Good luck!!
Hey Guys!
We should be finding out within the next few weeks.
Okay so,
Major: Business Admin- Financial Services(AS/T Approved)
GPA: 3.40
AA-T/AS-T: Yes, Business Admin.
Golden 4: Yes, finished in Fall
