Hahahaha! I am so glad that I made an account on here. You guys all make me feel a million times less obsessive and crazy because you are all experiencing the anxiety with me!
I am sooo scared/nervous/excited. Seriously, I don’t know how to explain the feeeeels!
This is like taking an exam that you studied your but off for for 2-4 years and not finding out what grade you got until 4 months after you took the test …BUT WORSE!!
You and I both man hahaha. The wait is honestly the hardest part of the whole process but after looking at a thread from last year a lot of them didn’t hear back until the 9th and some people weren’t notified until April :((
I have a question, if you attend a San Diego CC do you automatically get priority admission or is that only if you have a TAG for your major? I am an Econ major so I just want to know if I am at a disadvantage to SD locals who are also Econ majors regardless if they have better or worse GPA’s.
@BigJuicy13 I’m pretty sure admission priority is given to all students who attend community colleges within SDSU’s service area. However, I believe this “priority” is in the form of a GPA boost of a certain amount. Obviously a student within SDSU’s service area who has a 2.0 GPA would not get in ahead of someone who is outside of San Diego who has a 3.8 GPA. The admission priority only helps to a certain extent. Same with the ADT degrees… those only give you a 0.1 GPA boost in most cases.
Oh okay, thank you, because I’m looking at posts from the last 2 years and locals are getting in with 2.9’s and below over non-locals that have 3.7+ with the same major major. But on the other hand I’ve seen a lot of weird things coming from the admissions so I guess I have to wait and see if I’m lucky enough to get accepted to State
Hi! I have applied & Auditioned for Fall 2016 Transfer to SDSU’s School of Music & Dance with a BFA in Dance. I auditioned two weekends ago and it went swimmingly.
Here are all the stats I can think of
Current GPA: 3.6
Cumulative: 2.9 (hoping to pull that up after this quarter’s grades are recorded)
Golden Courses: All will be complete by the end of Spring Quarter 2016
Major Prep: All but one class, they didn’t offer it in the quarters I was able to attend school.
Area: SF Bay Area (not SD Local)
My biggest issue is miscalculating the amount of units I needed to complete by the end of Spring 2016. My CC is on quarters, so unit conversion is a bit tricky. I was off by 4 units (you need 90 quarters units to transfer which is converted to 60 semester units), and reported having only 86 units complete, in progress or planned by Spring 2016 on the supplemental application. My counselor did not catch the mistake until after the supplemental application due date. I still have time to register for the appropriate amount of units, as my spring registration date is this Wednesday, however SDSU does not know this officially.
What are my chances of being offered a conditional acceptance? A rejection? What are my chances of them accepting a denied admissions appeal?
