Sea Year - Compare notes

Jealousy is rearing it's ugly head between me & Boss. I would pay good money to have been "stuck" on Madiera for a few days. And I promise I would have drank some madiera. Couldn't do the other things because I'm older & wiser now & know I could die by falling out of a balloon. Those kids are crazy. Just think of the memories they will have. Weski, has your son indicated to you how many hours he works the ship & how many hours are dedicated to his sea project? Someone once said these kids work about 14 hours a day? Must keep them out of a little trouble anyhow.... :) 8kidsmom's daughter's computer went on the blink and she had to hand write everything and I think she had it completed in like a week (kidding). She rock & rolled on the thing though.

BTW - I was a pirate in my former life. I just know it.

Son is on a very civilized ship currently compared to many. Captain is well aware of sea project time requirements. Sealand containerships are well maintained - he is doing a lot of preventive maintenance. He said (grain of salt) that he works 8-5 (with lunch break)and is working on his sea project 2-3 hours a night between the drawing and descriptions. (bought him drawing templates when we saw him) Exercising on an elliptical & treadmill. And the ship has a huge 1000+ video library that he had to catalog...wonder if they have a lot of those in the military movie category?
