I'm a international student from Hongkong. I can't deal with English very well so I get poor gpa, anyway I want to get into CSU. It is possible for me to climb to gpa 2.8 but that is it. Is there a Csu which I could tran as business major with 2.7 GPA?

Yes, it’s possible with a 2.7 for certain (most UC’s have an international and OOS eligibility requirment GPA of 2.8, so you should be fine for the CSU’s). However you have to have all the major course requirements completed by the time you enroll (summer courses will not work, it has to be spring courses prior to fall for instance). Each major has it’s list of requirements and they do not make it easy on transfer students.

The first step is for you to go to the CSU mentor website and start to compile a list of schools that you are interested in applying. I think the app. due dates are mostly Nov. 30, so you need to hurry! Filing dates: [CSUMentor - Apply Online - Status Report](<a href=“csumentor.org - This website is for sale! - csumentor Resources and Information.”>csumentor.org - This website is for sale! - csumentor Resources and Information.)

Here’s where you do a search by major:

[CSU Degree Search](<a href=“Search Degrees at the CSU | CSU”>http://degrees.calstate.edu/)

(my search brought up: Channel Islands, Chico, Dominiquez Hills, East Bay, Fresno, Fullterton, CS San Diego, CS San Francisco, CS San Jose, Monterey Bay, Long Beach, Sacramento, Pomona, Sonoma State, San Luis Obispo, with “Business” major search). You can narrow this down further by other search criteria (housing available, etc.)

Once you have your list, then go to each schools’ site and find the list of course requirements for transfers and see if you have the amount of credits needed, and whether you are missing courses that you need to take in the spring to be eligible to apply to transfer to that particular campus. Good luck!

Thinks, that’s really helpful.
