Searchable list of accredited nursing programs

The two main accrediting agencies have a searchable list of their approved programs. A program is typically on only one of these two lists.

I read that typically if a program is accredited by one of these two organizations, your state will allow you take the certification exam.

You may find some for profit or online schools claim to be accredited by another organization, that may not be legitimate.

As Bearcat mentioned on another thread, you should also look at the list of approved nursing programs from your State Board of Nursing. The above link is the list for PA. On the left side are initials for full, initial or provisional. If it is provisional, you should ask why. There may be an issue that was resolved, or not.
