I was browsing through some of the threads and found that Harvard's DEAS had been rather recently promoted to SEAS.

Does this mean that when you apply to Harvard Engineering now, you apply to SEAS as a separate school like Columbia? Or do you still apply to Harvard College as a whole?

No, if you want to be an undergraduate at Harvard for anything, you apply to Harvard College.

I've been confused about the SEAS since it was created, but on Friday I had the chance to talk with a computer science professor, and this was one of my questions. He said that from the viewpoint of a student, you can pretty much regard SEAS as just a really, really large department within Harvard College.
