i have a question about the harvard seas. do you have to apply to it separate, or do you apply to harvard college? I think I want to major in engineering, but am not 100% sure. If I apply engineering, is it easy to switch to a major like chem? I just dont want to be in engineering and stuck it I hate it. There are others universities where engineering is a separate school, and transferring is not guaranteed, so I was wondering if harvard is like this. Also what about schools like Yale?

[Apply to SEAS ? Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences](Prospective Students | Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences)

“All prospective undergraduate students apply and are admitted to Harvard College. Students do not need to declare their intended concentration until the sophomore year.”

It’s the same with Yale; you apply to the college as a liberal arts major and declare your intended major at the end of sophomore year.

princeton? is that the same too?

Can you not access google in your country? This is information readily available on the internet. Yes, Princeton is the same too.

However, Princeton does require freshmen applicants to write an extra essay for engineering majors found in the Princeton Supplement.
