i am aware SCU does offer second bachelor's degree to students, but i would like to know the answers to the following questions:

does SCU offer students the opportunity to pursue (specifically) a second bachelor's degree in accounting?

if yes to the question above, then what are all of the specific academic-related eligibility requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to gain eligibility to earn a second bachelor's degree in accounting at SCU?

are merit-based academic scholarships available for students pursuing a second bachelor's degree at SCU?

You can pursue two bachelors degrees at SCU (DD is completing two). If they are in two different colleges, however, you must fulfil the core course requirements for both schools or gain [ermission NOT to do so. DD is getting on degree from engineering and one from arts and sciences. The core courses are NOT the same.

I do not know if accounting is a degree you can get as a second bachelors. I believe that finance is not…don’t know about accounting. Why not ask the folks at SCU about this?

Re: scholarships…are you asking if there are scholarships specific to those who are earning two bachelors degrees? I do not believe there are. If there were, my DD would have been all over that!!

Also, do understand that to earn two separate bachelors degrees, you will have to take a heavy courseload and perhaps even a summer at SCU. SCU does not allow you to take courses elsewhere once you matriculate so it’s not like you can go home and transfer summer courses in. DD typically took 20 credits a QUARTER…and she spent one summer there full time as well. I can’t say whether hers is a typical experience for someone pursuing two bachelors degrees but it’s what she had to do to get all the courses done in four years.

thanks for the info about SCU.

i want to know if there are merit-based academic scholarships available to students who are or will be pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in general, but not necessarily earning two separate bachelor’s degrees at the same time.

My daughter is pursuing AND will get two bachelors degrees from SCU. If there had been scholarships for students like her…she would have applied for them. I do not believe they exist. But you can call the financial aid department and ask…they are very friendly there and they will tell you.

If you are asking if there are scholarships available for someone who is pursuing a second bachelors (already has the first)…I don’t know…but I doubt there are. Again…call and ask.
