Second Columbia Update

I’m currently on the waitlist for Columbia and am considering sending in a second letter of continued interest, and I am also scheduled for a campus tour/information session today. Should I include the campus tour/information session in my letter of continued interest and try to explain that I did it for an opportunity to learn more about the campus and to connect with faculty etc. or would this look counterintuitive seeing as I probably would not need to tour Columbia if it was my first choice?

Definitely is a good way to show your interest. Put some details in the letter about what stood out during the tour. I think you probably already know this, but getting in off the waitlist is tough, and unpredictable. Anything you can do to show your interest will probably help.

Best of luck.
